The kids make ornaments from Mesilla Valley pecan wood and yucca pods for the Capital Hill Christmas tree in Washington, D.C.  All the Christmas trees in the nation's capitol city this winter will come from the Carson National Forest, and all the ornaments for the trees will be made by New Mexico's school children.

FFA volunteers help kids with the glue, glitter, and paint that they used to create their
New Mexican Christmas ornaments.

Christmas ornaments boxed up for November transport to Truth or Consequences where they will join up
with the New Mexican pine trees as they make their way across the country to Washington, D.C. for Christmas.
